Ashlie Sutton's White Bread
This recipe came from the wife of one of Kelly's cousins and this bread recipe is absolutely perfect! Easy and delicious and very versatile.
Ingredients:
4 cups hot water
4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. oil
1 Tbsp. salt
2 rounded Tbsp. quick rise yeast (or 3 packs of quick rise yeast)
Directions:
First, mix 4 cups hot water and 4 cups flour until wet. Next, mix in the remaining ingredients until combined.
Add 5-7 cups of flour until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. Mix for about 5 minutes.
Let it rise until double in size in an oiled bowl. Shape into loaves and place into greased pans. Let it rise again (to double the size) then bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
