Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring

I love breakfast.  I love easy.  So this easy breakfast is right up my alley.  I have a family favorite go-to for breakfast rolls/buns but I actually like this one better and it's easier (no "night before" prep).  My husband still likes the original family sticky buns better but if I forget to put out the dough the night before, he'll clean his plate with this little gem, found on The Jones Way, just as quickly.  I've never had leftovers.  Ever.

Ingredients:
2 small tubes refrigerator buttermilk biscuits OR 1 tube Pillsbury Grands buttermilk biscuits
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 cup pancake syrup (any brand)
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans, optional
1/4 cup chopped almonds, optional

Directions:
Spray a fluted pan with non-stick spray.  Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl and set aside.  In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts (if desired).  Place about half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan.  Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top.  Lay the biscuits on the bottom of the pan, overlapping edges (closely together) to form a ring.  Top with remaining syrup and sugar mixtures.  Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.  Cool for 1 minute in the pan, then invert onto a serving platter and enjoy!

Notes:  Just like the original blogger, I ended up using 1 1/2 tubes of the Pillsbury Grands buttermilk biscuits because one tube just didn't seem like enough.  It didn't quite fill the pan.  Because of the added biscuits, it had to be baked a little longer so I cooked them for 30.  I also did not use the chopped almonds or pecans because my family isn't in to nuts.
