Butter Syrup
I experienced Butter Syrup at a baby shower last week. It was amazing! Truly, I probably could have just had it in a cup and been happy (but oh how it added to the waffles and whipped cream!). It's my friend Debbie's recipe and she said that every once in a while she even pours it over a little ice cream. Delicious!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Mix the buttermilk, butter, and sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil. Cool slightly and add the baking soda.
Serve warm. Leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week.
