Peanut Butter & Chocolate Rice Krispie Bars

I'm not sure why Jacqui hasn't put this recipe out here yet but no compilation of family recipes is complete without this one. It is famous at my uncle's house and they are gone within minutes. This is, no doubt, the reason I don't make them in my house. I would eat them all.

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
4-5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips

Directions:
Combine the sugar and corn syrup in a large pot and heat until just beginning to boil - just until you detect a simmer. Cooking this too long makes them hard and way too chewy. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and cereal. Stir gently to combine. Spread into 9x13 pan.

Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips. Spread over Rice Krispies mixture. Cool at room temp or in refrigerator. Enjoy!
