Creamy Cooker Chicken
This is one of the easiest and most kid-friendly (at least for my kids) recipes in my arsenal. It requires not more than 5 minutes of prep time and then you just let it sit. I consider it a chicken's version of stroganoff. Great for a busy day when you know you just won't get a lot of prep time in the kitchen.
Place 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts in your crockpot and then do the following:
Combine
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 envelope of Dry Onion Soup Mix
16 oz. Sour Cream
Pour this mixture over the chicken breasts. Cook on Low for 8 hours or on High for 4 hours. About 30 minutes before serving, take each breast out and shred the chicken. Return to slow cooker. Serve over rice or noodles.
Note: Because my family is a little smaller, I pare down the chicken breasts to 4 but keep the rest of the ingredients the same. This makes plenty of chicken for each person but also ups the "cream/soup" that is served over the noodles/rice.
